Hopefully it won't get as bad as the storm in January, from which this photo was taken. There was a huge power outage for about two days, and Michael had his out for a week because a tree fell down in his yard. Matthew's fence fell over and there was kelp and sand washed up in his street from the waves.

Stormy Weather
We've been having some rainy and windy weather lately... again.

Placid Lake
This was my latest creation in Adobe Photoshop. I've been really busy with schoolwork (graphing quadratic equations takes ages!), not to mention numerous book reports, research papers, clarinet practice... so I haven't had time to do anything lately in Photoshop. It depicts a lake with large grass-covered hills spilling down into a beach. I was experimenting with the liquify tool to create the reflection of the sun on the water.

The Best of Flickr v.1
Here are some of my best photos on Flickr:

I took this photo on a 15-second exposure out of a window in the Pacific Grove Art Center.

On a walk at Lovers Point Beach, this seal came up on the beach about 5 feet away from us!

Here are some fried Mexican prawns we had for dinner a while ago.

Creamy pesto noodles, also for dinner around the holidays.

I took this on a trip to Exeter to see my half brother Jesse.

This is a cactus blossom at the Stanford University cactus garden.

A pelican on Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, CA.

Egg Study
To test out this feature, I created this egg. It uses ambient lighting to create a more realistic lighting effect.
I created the realistic egg shape by tone mapping a real egg picture and tracing it. View the tone map here.

Steinbeck Country
A few months ago after reading The Red Pony in English class, we had to make a Steinbeck Country photo journal with sepia-tone photos.

I just posted the original photos on Flickr.

Fountain of Dreams
Download MP3 |
Fountain of Dreams is a 4-section piece composed by Jun Ishikawa, an acclaimed video game soundtrack composer.
Click the image at the right to view a vector PDF file to print out. The score works best for instruments in Concert Pitch because this way, you can play along with the mp3.
The song Fountain of Dreams was released on the CD Smashing... Live! by Nintendo Power.
