I was looking through some of the other Adobe Creative Suite programs and came across ImageReady, which turned out to be used for GIF animation, with flash-like implements like layers and tween frames. As an experiment, I made this random little graphic of the PG Breakers wave. View the animation here.I also discovered a random developer's easter egg where if you go to the about screen while holding Ctrl (or Cmd on Macs) it shows the codename with a picture. This also works with Photoshop or any other Adobe program.

The animation's really lame, obviously, but it was just a test. I could do much better if I wanted.
Anyway, GIF animation is best for little animated buttons and stuff like that.
